Ås-erklæringen om personlig akademisk boikott av Israel
Vi som har undertegnet denne erklæringen har personlig valgt å delta i den akademiske boikotten overfor Israel.
Det betyr at vi ikke ønsker:
- Å delta i internasjonale forsknings- eller utdanningsprosjekter der israelske høyere utdanningsinstitusjoner eller forskningsinstitutter er med som samarbeidende partnere eller sponsorer.
- Å delta på konferanser eller vitenskapelige kongresser i Israel eller der israelske høyere utdanningsinstitusjoner eller forskningsinstitutter har en offisiell rolle som arrangør eller sponsor.
- Å delta i annet organisert faglig, teknisk eller administrativt samarbeid med israelske høyere utdanningsinstitusjoner eller forskningsinstitutter.
Boikotten er begrunnet i Israels okkupasjon, apartheid-politikk, undertrykkelse av og folkerettsbrudd mot den palestinske befolkningen og mot palestinske utdanningsinstitusjoner; og i israelske akademiske institusjoners bidrag til dette.
Boikotten vil fortsette inntil denne israelske politikken tar slutt.
Vår boikott retter seg mot israelske akademiske institusjoner, og ikke individuelt mot israelske forskere og universitetsansatte. Det er også forskere, universitetsansatte og studenter i Israel som åpent bekjemper den israelske statens okkupasjon, undertrykkelse av og forbrytelser mot palestinerne. Aas declaration on personal endorsement of academic boycott of Israel
We, the undersigned, have personally chosen to partake in the academic boycott against Israel.
This signifies our decision to abstain from:
- Collaborating in international research or educational projects where Israeli higher education institutions or research institutes are involved as partners or sponsors.
- Attending conferences or scientific congresses held in Israel, or those organized or sponsored by Israeli higher education institutions or research institutes.
- Participating in other organized academic, technical or administrative cooperation with Israeli higher education institutions or research institutes.
This boycott is motivated by Israel’s occupation, apartheid policies, suppression, and violations of international law against the Palestinian people and their educational institutions, as well as the complicity of Israeli academic institutions in these actions. The boycott will persist until these policies cease.
Our stance is directed at Israeli academic institutions, not against individual Israeli researchers and university staff. There are also researchers, university employees, and students in Israel who openly resist the state’s occupation, oppression, and injustices against Palestinians. They need international support.
